“SPOT News: the lastest news from the Scholars Portal Operations Team”

Filed under: Links, Scholars Portal & related — ereport @ 9:43 am

(They probably mean “latest news”, but who knows?)

The Scholars Portal Operations team now has its own blog, at http://www.scholarsportal.info/spot-news/. They’ve apparently been posting to it since April. From the announcement posted to the scholarsportal list at 3:34 am today:

“SPOT News is the spot to get the latest information on Scholars Portal.

Wondering what’s been happening at the Central Operations Office? The latest
news is just a click away. Browse all the entries or click the link for the
service you are interested in”

They’re using the same WordPress software as this blog, so you’ll be able to set up an RSS feed for it, and leave comments as well. I’ll have to decide whether or not to repost their stuff here, or simply assume that all of you will be reading it (at least occasionally). Any comments?

From Alan Darnell:

We need to bring the Scholars Portal Search server down for maintenance tomorrow morning starting at 7:30am.  It should be back online before any of the libraries opens for business.
