ProQuest maintenance window last night: did you notice?

Filed under: Non-Scholars Portal databases, Outages — ereport @ 11:44 am

In the words of the vendor:

“We have discovered an unanticipated opportunity to enhance the ProQuest® online information system that will improve performance and further enhance ProQuest’s reliability. To install these modifications, we are scheduling a maintenance window during a low-usage period. The maintenance window will begin Thursday, May 4th at 2:00 a.m. EST and end May 3rd at 3:00 a.m. EST.

[NOTE: unless there's some sort of weird time warp they're using for the maintenance, I think they mean Thursday, May 4th from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. -- in other words, they notified us of it after it happened]

The following products will be unavailable during this brief window:

  • ProQuest®, including ProQuest interface products, ProQuest Historical Newspapers (traditional and graphical K12 interface), American Periodicals Series
  • Third-party databases such as CINAHL® Database with Full Text
  • ProQuest Archiver
